Noelle's Baby Dedication

Hey Everyone! As you can see, I made it back in town LATE Thursday night. And yes--I did have to work yesterday. But, now that I got some sleep last night, I thought I would take a minute and get this updated.

I didn't get a chance to post this before I left town this week, but last Sunday, Pastor and Sister Gleason dedicated beautiful Noelle Reece to the Lord. It was beautiful! God has so much in store for her and I can't wait to see how God unfolds her life. I love you, Sissy!

Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

Happy Birthday, Daddio!!! You're the best!! I love you!!!

I hung out with Mom and Dad all day today. It was a cool and rainy day but that didn't stop us from going out and celebrating today. :)

First stop: Smoke and Fire!

What an awesome store!! It was full of grills, smokers, fireplaces, spices, rubs, oils, cookbooks, dips, cooking pans & utensils, and anything you could possibly imagine ever needing for your grill. My word! It was incredible! I could have stayed in there all day long! lol In fact, I think we were in there for a couple of hours. :)

Then, we went to Cheddars to eat. I forgot to take a picture, so I grabbed one from the web. :)

We've eaten there before but its new to Kansas City, so we decided to do a late lunch so we wouldn't have as long of a wait tonight.

This is the Birthday Boy! :)

Now, THIS is what I call some onion rings! Dad couldn't wait to tear into those! :) And I have to agree...they were really good!

Just a little bit of the yummy goodness we had to eat. :)

After we got home, we had some of Mom and Dad's good friends over to help celebrate!

Mom and Dad!

We celebrated with a Sugar-Free Peach Cobbler that I made for Dad and topped it with Vanilla ice-cream!

Love you Dad!!! Hope you had an amazing day!!

Sugar-Free Peach Cobbler

Can we say a little goodness on earth? lol I actually have never made the sugar-free version before...but...with Dad being a diabetic and this being especially for him...sugar-free it is. :)

So for those of you that want the recipe...here you go! :)

Things you will need:
4 cans of sliced peaches
1 boxed yellow cake mix
Vanilla
Brown Sugar
Butter

To start off with...I use 4 cans of sliced peaches in its own juice.

Once opened, I usually drain the juice out of 3 cans and leave the juice of the 4th can, and dump it into a cake pan.

Next, you take the brown sugar (If going sugar-free...you can use the 50% less sugar brown sugar sweetened with Splenda.) and sprinkle some all around the peaches. I think I used around 4 heaping teaspoons.

Then take your Vanilla (we use Vanilla straight from Mexico...YUMMY) and dash some in 5-6 areas around the pan.

Stir it around to make sure it is mixed good. Then take another 1.5 heaping teaspoons of brown sugar (or however much you desire) and sprinkle around the top.

Next, take your dry yellow cake mix (can use regular if desired) and sprinkle all around the cake pan until the peaches are covered. (I use the entire cake mix)

Once the cake mix is spread around, make sure you smooth the cake mix out to make it even. Then take squares of butter and place all over.

Once this is done, bake in the oven on 375 for close to an hour. All ovens are different...but in our oven it takes about an hour or more for it to cook. But it'll be worth it in the end. hehe :)

Serve it plain or serve it with ice cream! YUMMY!!

Aunt Bobbie...

As many of you probably saw my Facebook status today...my Aunt Bobbie passed away this afternoon around 3:00. She has been sick with a liver disease for quite sometime but was rushed to the ER last night. She passed away this afternoon with all of her immediate family in the room with her. Please keep my Uncle Wayne and the rest of the family in your prayers. At this time we don't know when the funeral will be, but am going to do my best to be there (in Louisiana).

Well Needed Laughter

Ok, Ok...I know...I've been a little MIA for a little while. I didn't realize it has been almost TWO weeks since my last post. So, for all of you faithful readers...I'm sorry. Hope you forgive me! ha! It's been a little busy...in my spare time, of what little I have, I've been trying to do some Spring cleaning. This means, going through everything! Literally! The closet, paperwork, drawers...you name it...its getting a good clean out. I'm wondering what I got myself into...but...it feels really good to be able to get all this done! So, I'm taking a little break and decided to update you in whats going on in my world!

Last weekend was an absolute blast! I didn't get any pictures Friday or Saturday...but both nights I met a different friend for dinner, hung out, and did a little bit of shopping. Well..okay...I did a lot of shopping. LOL But I haven't done that for a long time...so I justified it to get some Spring clothes. lol

Anyways...Sunday after church, I drove up to St. Joseph, MO to meet one of my best friends, Lori, for the evening! She brought her baby, Collin (Sweet Potatoe as she calls him) "home" for a visit. So I definitely had to get with them. Little Collin just 'had' to meet his Auntie K! ;) He is sooo adorable and I just wanted to love on him! How could you not love that adorable face?!

After a little visit with baby Collin, Lori and I left and met up with our friend Christina! Thank You, Debra, for watching Collin! It was a well needed Girls Night! We talked the night away and laughed until we cried! We had dinner at Bandana's BBQ then went to Starbucks for something warm! lol

By this time, it was starting to get a little late, but none of us wanted to leave. It had been forever since we'd seen each other and we were having a blast. Sooo...we got this 'wild' idea to drive around and "find" stuff to take pictures with. LOL Hmmm...I'm pretty sure, street signs were the winner of the night. Random, I know. But, Oh my goodness...thats all that needs to be said about that. LOL We were out of control, but it will be one of those nights where we will talk about it for years! "Remember that night when...?" LOL

JEN...we missed you!!!!!!! We so wished you could have been there with us! We definitely have to plan a Girls Weekend soon! :)

So...here we go with the pictures! Please bare with me...my camera wasn't wanting to work very well with the lighting for some reason...so some (most) of them are pretty blurry...but it was too funny not to post. Enjoy our craziness! lol
Christina and her "No Parking, This side of Street" sign. LOL Of course we parked on THAT side of the street! haha Good thing there wasn't anyone else around. :)

Lori posing with the parking meter?! HA! Not quite sure why? Maybe to capture the time? haha

STOP! I just HAD to get a picture! Why? I'm not quite sure! haha

Lori and the "Emergency Snow Route" sign...This is perfect since she has lived in New Orleans for the last 4 years! haha

Up close and personal :)

Christina showing off the "Season's Greetings" sign...really?? Is this Christmas in March?? lol

"No Parking OR Standing"...Uh oh....Lori and I are in trouble!!! haha!

Forever Friends!

"Do Not Enter". Enough Said. LOL

Christina showing off her Fireman muscles!

Me striking a pose in the MIDDLE of the street! Good thing there were no cars coming! lol

This one is really blurry....this is Lori sporting the 20 MPH sign! ha!

This picture cracks me up!! I love it! Lori and Christina immitating the sign! lol

This was Lori's favorite! Sporting an open trunk in front of the St Joseph Trunk Company. lol!

These One Way signs will never be the same! lol

And we couldn't leave without getting one of the three of us girls together! As you can see, we had such a random but fun night! Love you girls so much!!! Can't wait till the next time! :) Miss you already!!
