St. Louis Shoe

Last weekend I went to St Louis to help my sister to finalize some things for the girl's birthday party that we're throwing. But when we got into town, we were driving around after dinner and saw this huge shoe! I instantly fell in love! It was a huge metal shoe that was made out of a ton of little shoes. So of course I had to get my picture taken with it! :) Yep, pretty much love at first sight. LOL

Then, I decided that I needed to get INSIDE the shoe! Yep, pretty much crazy, not gonna lie. IT HURT! LOL And the whole shoe was shaking! I'm surprised they didn't have a alarm on it when people get inside and tell you to get out! haha! But it was fun nonetheless. My brother was taking the picture and he was just cracking up! Hey, at least we humored ourselves, right? haha

Prayer Request

I just found out a little bit ago that my friend Jennifer's brother passed away last night. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. I know it's not easy when you loose a loved one, only God, time, and prayers can help you through it. Jennifer is one of my best friends and my heart hurts that she is having to go through something like this. Please keep them and uphold them in your prayers.

A Trip to Granddaddy's!!

I flew out Thursday afternoon and headed to my Granddaddys in Louisiana!! It was a short trip but I'm glad I was able to go! I flew into Dallas since it was cheaper, and rented a car, just in time for rush hour traffic. LOL I've never driven through Dallas by myself before so that was an adventure but I found my way! The next day, my beautiful cousin Alysia and her girls came down to see me and Granddaddy!!! We had such a great time. I didn't want them to leave! But we had a great time and got to see some other family as well! I got the treatment too, let me tell you! My aunt fixed purple hull peas and cornbread, fried chicken, a spread of other stuff! YUMMMMMM!!!!! She even fixed my Mammaw's homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy this morning for breakfast!!! YUM! I don't even like chocolate, but this is soooo yummy!!! Gotta love southern food! :) But I was so glad I got to visit Granddaddy for a couple of days!!! I miss him!

Here is a video for Paulette and Robyn....He is SOOO sweet, I love him!!

Ten years already?

Wow, so yesterday, May 22nd, marked the TEN year mark that I graduated from high school. Really? Ten years? TEN? Already? It seems like things have been flying by. But I guess people warned me about that and I just thought they were crazy, but it really does happen! I can't believe it has been 10 years already! Wow, so much has changed since then.

So I thought that I would give you a sneak view of "back then". Don't hold it against me with what I'm wearing and big hair! LOL I couldn't find all my grad pictures but here are just a few that my dad took, then a couple from graduation day. Wow, that was like one of the happiest days of my life....1999....what a year!

Reminiscing...

So, I've been reminiscing a little bit and was reminded how much I miss my girls! This was when we ALL lived in Kansas City before everyone decided to move away. lol So I thought I would put a little something together to let them know that I miss you and love you girls dearly!!! This was our favorite Girls Day Out that we have ever had!!! We had SOOOOO much fun and laughed until our sides hurt, right girls?! :) I hope you enjoy and it puts a smile on your face!! There is music to this, so you might want to turn the music off at the bottom of the page. Love yall! :)

A Wonderful Visit!!

My girl Jagada and her husband Karl finally came back to KC for a visit. Jagada got to sneak out for a little bit and we hung out for awhile. We were gonna go over KC and do stuff but we ended up just going to 54th Street grabbing a bite to eat and talking!! Yeah, we were there for like 4 hours! LOL I'm sure the waiter was like geez these people have a lot to say! LOL But, we hadn't seen each other in 2 years! We used to work together and they moved to Seattle for Karl's job. But anyways, Jagada......girl, it was SOOOOO good to see you again!!!! Love ya!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you momma's out there!! I know I'm a day late but it's better late than never, right?! lol I hope you all had a wonderful day! You deserve every moment, every card, every flower, every thank you, and every smile. Yall are all wonderful. I am so thankful for my Mom! She is a wonderful Christian woman who loves us dearly. Thank You Mom for everything you've done for me. I love you!

My Dad has to work every weekend, so we waited for him to get home to celebrate, and I took my Mom and Dad out to their most favorite restaurant! It's actually all our fave! :) But we made the journey over to Cinzetti's Italian Restaurant on the Kansas side. This is the BEST place ever!!! If you've never been there, you have to go! Mmmmm I'm craving their salad just thinking about it! :) Anyway, hope you enjoy a few pictures from the evening!

The lovely Cinzetti's itself!! :)

Vertical Praise featuring "How He Loves Us"

Today was AMAZING! Vertical Praise featured all our different musical groups at church. We had Ensemble, Choir, Silent Praise, Jazz Ensemble, Mens Quartet, Mens Ensemble, and we also did a cardboard testimony. God really moved and did some awesome stuff today! I just want to send out a great big thank you to Justin and Crystal Larmie, TLC's music directors and my great friends! Yall are awesome! You always do such an awesome job. I know people don't tell you often enough, but yall work so hard to always make sure the music is just right and you deserve the highest of honors. I love you guys and thanks for always being there for me. Yall are the best! :) Now, I just have to say that TLC is the BEST!!!!! Every aspect of Vertical Praise is amazing! I am continually amazed and thankful for Vertical Praise of TLC!!! The cardboard testimony was amazing! To see the testimonies of where people have been and where they are now is so awesome! It was so hard to sing "How He loves Us" during that because I was bawling my eyes out. But GOD is absolutely amazing. Thank You Jesus for everything You have done for me, everything you will do, and everything that you have kept me from. Who knows where I would be if it wasn't for God. I wish I would have gotten a video of this, but I'll see what I can do to get one and post it on here. Silent Praise- You guys are awesome! Now, I am not quite sure why crazy things always happen to me...but today when we were signing, my finger got caught in my glasses and my glasses came FLYING off of my head. LOL Yeah, not gonna lie, I was mortified. But yall are the best! Oh, I almost forgot......we had 520 at church today!!!! It was incredible!!! :) I had my aunt take a few pictures of today and a couple of short video clips. The sound isn't the greatest since it's just with my camera, but when I get better pictures/videos, I'll be sure to share with you. :)

This is Silent Praise, signing "Lord, You're Holy"...of course this was BEFORE my glasses decided to make its grand exit. LOL

This is the TLC choir singing "Souled Out". It was awesome!! This sound doesn't sound as good cuz it is with my camera....but it was rockin'!!! Cedric, you did an awesome job on your solo!

This is the TLC Choir again singing, "I will Run". Ragen (aka Reeeegan) did an amazing job!! You rocked!!

A Nice Surprise!

So this morning, I got to work and was copying a file for an adjuster since my coworker had to go home. Which by the way, its something that I don't enjoy! LOL But nonetheless I get paid to do what the adjusters need, so there you have it. lol So, one of the adjusters walked by and handed me flowers and said, "Thank You for helping me out with the customer the other day!" They were BEAUTIFUL dark red gerber daisies, which I love!!! But it was so sweet of her to get those for me. I thought that I would share them with you and let you enjoy them too. :)

Call us jokesters...

"Shannon and THE tie" LOL

So, while we were in Greece...Melodie, Sarah, Jen, and I decided that we were going to have some fun and send our friend, Shannon, a present from Greece. We know that he just missed us dearly so we decided that he would never forget NOT going on the trip. LOL We were walking down in the old town on the island of Rhodes, Greece...we were in a crazy mood and having so much fun when we just happened to come up to a rack of "crazy" ties at this random store. They had some crazy looking ties on this rack and we were laughing so hard. lol So, we found this tie that had American money all over it and we were cracking up...and decided to buy it as a joke for Shannon. LOL We wrapped it up all nice and put a note in it that read something like, "We just wanted to buy you a little souvenier from Greece that could help you start saving money for next years trip". LOL But much to our surprise, Shannon has actually worn this tie a couple times. LOL

So here is to our friend....and the PROOF that he actually wore it to church!!! LOL

Hangin' at City Market

So yesterday morning my cousin and best friend, Paulette, called me and asked if I wanted to go with them to the Flower Festival at the City Market downtown. Of course I said yes...I LOVE going downtown to the City Market!! There are fruit/veggie/flower vendors everywhere there along with all different types of ethnic places to eat, along with coffee shops, and random people playing their instruments. So its just a fun place to go! They had a lot of flowers there with it being the Flower Festival. And they were all so pretty! We even hit the Holland store up for some of their warm carmel waffles.....YUM!!! There are no words to describe how yummy these things are. lol We even saw some random redneck people playing their instruments and that required a short video. LOL After we browsed through all the flowers we had to of course browse through all the fruits and veggies...and we even grabbed some lunch down there. :) Then ended the night with the newlyweds coming home and we had a family night of playing our favorite game...Yahtzee! So all in all, it was a fun day. Oh, don't forget my 3 hour nap in between all that! LOL OHhhhhhhh naps are just the BEST! :) They make me happy! haha! Enjoy the pictures! Below is a short video of the random redneck players. lol
