Winter Fun!

Saturday was so much fun!! Michelle, Venita, and I decided that we were going to go play in the snow! It's been so cold and it's been snowing every other day and everybody was getting ancy and didn't want to be at home anymore. So...we decided to make the best of it and have fun! And thats what we did. It was a blast!! It ended up being 16 degrees outside...but its been in the negatives, so it felt warm....for the first 5 minutes. LOL We only lasted about 30 minutes I think before we were completely frozen. It took me over an hour to thaw out. lol

So we go outside, and the snow is up to our knees!

Michelle and I about to dig into the snow!

Goofy-ness! :)

Hey Look! The SUN decided to come out and play too!!

Michelle fell and was trying to get up! LOL

Us girls making our new fashion statements. LOL Yes, you can still be modest and warm at the same time! ha!

Michelle and I again...lol

Michelle and I about to make some snow angels! LOL Ready...Set...GO!

hahaha!!! I have no words for this picture! But it cracks me up!

Venita trying to go sledding....NOT on a hill! haha She did...go about half a foot! haha!!

Venita about to make a snow angel! Ready...Set...Go!

Venita kept trying to get up but kept falling back down and Michelle was trying to help her. LOL It was hilarious!

Ok, so I was trying to get an action picture...running and jumping up in the snow. The snow was so deep that you couldn't really tell.......THEN.....

....BAM!!!.....I fell FLAT on my FACE!! LOL It was so funny and we all 3 busted out laughing!

haha...I apparently had a hard time getting back up! LOL

I was so excited to get to my new home I just bought! ROFLOL

Yeah!! Finally got there!

Venita fell when she got to the house. Why is this so funny? We were all laughing at each other so it was fine...it was too funny...but hey, she did catch herself! LOL

Pretty sure, Michelle was the smart one here and didn't try to go in the house. haha

Time to go back inside!! We were completely numb by this point!

Oh man, that was so much fun! I hadn't played in the snow since I was a kid! Maybe next time we'll make a Frosty! :) It took us over an hour to completely thaw out. But it was worth it. So much fun!

What a Wonderful World!

As I’m sitting here on this lazy Saturday morning, I’ve got my blog up and listening to the nice and cozy jazz music playing. The song, “What a Wonderful World” came on. I LOVE this song…one of my favs! I can’t help but think that it IS a wonderful world! There are SO many things to experience in this wonderful thing called LIFE. I’m loving every minute of every experience! There are people to meet, things to do, places to travel, family to spend time with, and friends to make memories. We have to make the best of every moment of life…through the good and the bad. Take some time and get out and take an adventure through life and see how much fun you can have! I can’t help but think about how BLESSED I am. God has blessed me beyond more than what I should ever deserve. He has given me a wonderful Godly heritage, an awesome family (including those I’ve ‘adopted’ along the way!), amazing friends that I can’t do without, and I can’t leave out my handsome man who God has so blessed me to call my boyfriend. He’s the best!! And I am so thankful that he is in my life!! I’m blessed to be apart of one of the BEST churches, (TLC rocks!!!), pastored by, Pastor Gleason!! I am so thankful for such an awesome pastor and pastor’s wife, who are the godliest people I know! This list could go on and on and on…but I will stop here. Just remember to make the best of every situation that comes your way. Make memories. Live your life to the fullest. I am! And I’m LOVING every minute of it!!!

"Larfornis" Night...

So I definitely just stole the title from Justin and Crystal...Loved it! lol We had a Larfornis (Larmie, Ford, Dennis) night. We ordered pizza, played games, and there was most definitely some goofiness going on. Oh..and don't forget the spare of the moment trip to Roxberry Juice in -15 degree weather! LOL It was just what I needed. I LOVE laughing and having a great time..and I love hanging out with my friendys. Yall ROCK!! Thank You so much for always being the greatest of friends! Love yall so much!

Quote of the Day

"The future depends on what we do in the present."

I've really been getting into quotes lately. But the first moment I saw this quote, I LOVED it! It pulled on my heart strings, but it is sooo true. Anytime we do something we need to check ourselves and know that what we do now, WILL effect our future. From the smallest of things to the biggest. It definitely makes you think about things you do and I'm sure we all have those certain "things" that we wish we could redo in our life. God help us to always make right choices in this thing called life.

More Snow?!

So I thought for all of yall that don't live in Kansas City would like to see just how much snow we really are getting this winter! :) We've gotten over 20 inches of snow already and winter has just really begun. We're in trouble! LOL We got a fresh 5-6 more inches last night! That made for a fun ride to work this morning! lol

Part of this is from the snow plows coming through and pushing it up. But still!

Right now its 4 degrees out and the windchill is negative 14! BRRR!! I think when they said we were getting an Artic Winter Storm...I'm pretty sure they were right this time! LOL

Update on my Uncle

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to take a few minutes and give you an update on Uncle Harold. I heard today that he is not doing good at all. The tumor is growing pretty rapidly. As I mentioned in the previous post, his left lung is already collapsed. With the tumor growing the way it is, it's pushing into the right lung and also effecting his heart. This in turns causes him to struggle breathing. They also found a small spot of cancer on his brain. The Doctor told my cousin today that they needed to get things in order and get the family there quick. I know GOD is a healer and HE is the only one that can turn this around for him. Thank You all for the prayers. We appreciate it!

Prayer Request

On Christmas Eve night, my uncle in Louisiana had to go to the ER. He is still in there and a couple of days ago, they found he has a large cancerous tumor in his lungs that is inoperable. It is treatable by radiation but they can't do surgery to remove it. They gave him 3 months-3 years. We just got news today that he is having a lot of trouble breathing..and now his left lung is completely collapsed and they are telling him it could be a matter of days. I know God is in COMPLETE control of this situation. But, please keep him and the family in your prayers. We appreciate it!

Can someone say, WARMTH?!

This is where I'm dreaming of being at. I seriously need to be somewhere where it is WARM right now. It is snowing yet AGAIN. We are supposed to get another 1-3 inches tonight. The windchill is NEGATIVE 8 outside. BRRRRR!!!! I really do love the snow and cold weather (but NOT this cold)...but I can only take it for so long. This negative degrees is too much for me. So for now, my dreams will have to be enough to get me through. LOL Palm trees, crystal clear blue water, flip flops, SUN, sunglasses, ahhhh yes! Wake up Krista...its still W-I-N-T-E-R outside! LOL

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I trust everyone has had a wonderful New Years!! I am SO excited about 2010! But at the same time, I can not believe that another year has come and gone. Where did the time go? There were so many good things that happened in 2009. Yes, there were some struggles and yes there were some crazy times, but overall it was a WONDERFUL year! God has blessed me SO much and I can not complain!! I am very excited to see what this year may bring! I hope and pray that yall have a wonderful year and many good things happen for you!

This past week has been very full with all the festivities of the New Year coming up. My sister Darla and her husband Jonathon have been here all week. (They just left today). And on Wednesday, we had some other family come over for the evening. Ken and Ginny Cantrell are like family to us and we had a blast hanging out! Here is a picture of Darla, Ginny, and I before they left.

Last night, we had a New Years Eve service..and it was awesome!! Worship was incredible and Ken did an awesome job preaching!! Communion afterwards was amazing! I am so thankful!!

Today...was fun! We had a housefull of people but it was good to be with family all day. We just ate and hung out all day...but believe it or not..I didn't get any pictures! I know, I know...you can get up off the floor now. LOL

Well, thats about it for our New Years...hope yall have had a wonderful day!!

Happy New Year!!!

The Kiddos Christmas Photo Shoot

I never got a chance to post some of the pictures from the kiddos Christmas photo shoot I did. The lighting wasn't very good the day we took them, but you get the idea of what we were trying to do. We did a candy shop theme. I LOVE it when the kids pose on their own..which they were definitely doing that day!! They're so stinkin' cute, but yeah...I'm partial! LOL Hope you enjoy! :)

Todd and Kate RAN to the door to look in! They were so excited!

They of course were loving every minute of it, because they got lots of sugar that day! LOL

Then we headed outside to take some pictures! I LOVE these ones of Katelyn!

And of course we have to get all three of them! :)

Then we walked down the street and found some other cool picture opportunities. :) I love exploring and seeing what you can find.
