Celebration at the Station!
Yesterday (Sunday night) Union Station had its 5th Annual Celebration at the Station. It was pretty much amazing! We had sooo much fun! The Kansas City Symphony played a lot of Patriotic Songs and then right at dark we watched the fireworks over the Liberty Memorial. I think they said there was around 34,000 people there!! It had been raining earlier in the day but it ended up being beautiful! It was awesome!
St. Louis Singles Conference
Sarah, Venita, and I left Friday afternoon and drove to St. Louis to attend a singles conference. We had alot of fun and we got to see a couple of people that we went on the Italy trip with-that we didn't know was going to be there. I also saw some friends that I knew up there but haven't seen in awhile. On Saturday during the day we went downtown St. Louis and walked around some. We had a good time and we were glad that we went!

Hanging out with Jonathon
We had the most awesome time last night!! We had SOO much fun!! We went driving for like 2 hours just around town to different parts of KC that we hardly go to-and we ended up in Brookside and ate dinner at Sharps 63rd Street Grill! It was so good! Then we went to Union Station and Crown Center. We ended up going across the street from Crown Center and they have these huge fountains that you can walk through. We had a spontaneous moment and we decided to have these people take our picture while we went through the fountains. It was hilarious! The one when we were actually in there didn't turn out very good but there are some other random ones that we took! lol We had so much fun-but we were drenched by the time we got done! haha We had tons of fun! All that happened on Friday night. Saturday we went to the City Market and hung out for a little bit. Sunday after church we went to Smithville Lake for something 'different' to do. We went to the "beach". If you call it that. The sand was all rocky. lol We kept making jokes on how "white" the sand was. haha And we drew stuff in the sand and took more pictures of course! lol It was fun! Thanks Jonathon for being the bestest friend ever! lol You're awesome! Love ya!

Finally, I added some pictures of my Italia Trip!
Okay, I finally added some pictures from my trip to Italia!!! We had such a good time on this trip! There were about 90 people that went! It would have been even better if we wouldn't have all gotten sick. But oh well-we still had a great time!! We got to go all over Italy. It is such a beautiful country! I would go back in a heartbeat! These pictures are just "some" that we took. Between 3 of us we had about 1500 pictures. lol
My Hawaii Trip!!
Here are some pictures of my 2nd SAM trip...to Hawaii!!! We had SO MUCH FUN!!! There are not enough words to explain how much fun we had on this trip. There were about 50 people that went and we made so many friends!! There was a group of about 8-12 people that hung out the entire week! It was awesome!! I am so thankful to still keep in contact with them!! I love you all very much!

5 Years of Service!!
Well, today I had my five year anniversary of working at American Family!! I can't believe it has been that long already. Theres been of course its ups and downs as it is with any job...but for the most part it has been really great!! Thank God I have a good job, along with a boss that likes me! lol :) They threw me a little party today. My team and all the managers (or at least those that were there today) all came in and helped me celebrate! I got a plaque and a gift card for my years of service at good ole AmFam!

Reflecting
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how thankful I am. Sometimes when life gets busy we forget about the things that God has allowed us to be apart of, places he has allowed us to go, the people He places in our lives, and things he has kept us from. I took a little bit of time last night to reflect about the things that God has allowed me to do. The more I thought about the places I’ve been, things that have occurred in life, trials that came my way, the times He kept me safe; the more I felt blessed. Sometimes life gets so busy and we don’t take the time to reflect-but it’s so important. I had just washed my hair last night and as I was fixing and drying my hair, it just hit me at how thankful I am…and how more thankful I need to be. God is allowing me to live my dreams at this very moment. As much as I love to travel, I have been blessed to have gone to over 30 of the 50 States. Growing up I would dream about going to Europe and I have now been blessed to have gone 3 different times. In my travels across the blue seas I have been privileged to tour 17 different countries and a 3 of those have been to twice. I have and am living my dream of being able to see many countries and states. He has blessed me with an awesome church (The Life Church, in Kansas City) pastored by Stan Gleason! TLC and Pastor and Sis Gleason are by far the best in the world!! He has allowed me to be apart of the ministry of TLC and helped me experience many different areas of which I never thought I would have been apart of. I helped teach Sunday School for about 5-6 years, was apart of Spanish Ministries for almost 2 years, being and still involved in the TLC Choir and Ensemble, secretary of the United group (college and career), and pretty much anything that I’m asked to do-you’ll find me there. (I have a hard time saying no lol). God allowed me to be able to go to Gateway for 3 years-which was the most amazing 3 years ever. Being surrounded by young people who loved God and wanted to do what He wanted in their lives and developing friendships that last forever. Now that I’m home (now 5 years!) now being able to be so involved in church; and I’ve worked at the same job for 5 years! Among everything else, I’ve been able to go back to school to get my Associates Degree in Business Administration. I’ve been privileged to be able to go on different singles trips with the UPC and have made so many wonderful friends all across the United States! God has placed so many wonderful people in my life of which I am so thankful! I’m not bragging-just reflecting and thankful of what God has allowed me to do. Think about all the times that we could have or have been in harms way-and He kept us safe! We can’t live a day without Him! It’s something to think about. What has God done for you? Where has He taken you? What has He allowed you to be apart of? Who has He placed in your life? This all happens for a reason. The storms in life that he takes us through-all happen for a reason and helps us to become more thankful and gives us little lessons in our life to learn from. Take a few moments to reflect back on your life and see what God has done for you!
