Kenny G - The Holiday Show!!!

I know, I know...I haven't blogged in over a week. Sorry!! It has been CRAZY around here...but wouldn't have it any other way! :)

So here it goes...what yall have all been waiting for....maybe. :)

As part of celebrating my birthday (the day after), my cousin Paulette and I went to the Kenny G concert!!! Oh.My.Word. It was AMAZING!!! It was at the Midland Theatre-which is the MOST beautiful theatre EVER!!! It was girls night out for us and we lived it up! Two peas in a pod out on the town. Sounds dangerous doesn't it?! Yeah-no worries-it was. LOL Just kidding!
Arriving at the Midland and WAY excited to soak in some Kenny G!

Inside the BEAUTIFUL Midland Theatre!!! As soon as we walked in we saw Kenny G was at the table signing his cd's!! And WE got to MEET him!!! Ok, so yeah that sounds a bit 'childish' but I don't care. LOL It was awesome! He chatted with us for a few minutes, got his autograph and went to find our seats. We tried to get a picture of him but they wouldn't let us. Bummer.

LOVING this chandelier!!

Looking through the mirror at the chandelier

The chandelier above our seats!

Paulette and I....a little too happy! haha

It was just a little piece of Heaven on earth...

Kenny G himself!!

The first half he played his regular stuff and the second half he played Christmas music! :)

ENCORE!!! ENCORE!!!

They came back twice! LOL

All the guys bowing before they left!

I have a lot of videos to post (thanks to Paulette for the videos and the pictures). Here is just a little taste! When I get them uploaded I'll share some more.) Enjoy!!

The BIG 3-0!!

December 16th...

Really?! No, Really?! Did I just turn THIRTY years old?! Woah! I seriously can't believe I'm no longer in the "twenties". It seems so weird....but I don't think its fully sunk in yet. lol About a month ago, my sister threw me a surprise birthday party! You can get a recap from the previous post here. The theme was "Upper East Side Chic" and you can see the photo shoot post here. It was perfect!

On my actual birthday....it was just as awesome! To be honest, turning 30 really wasn't THAT bad....everyone helped make the transition very well! I've made the decision that I am going to celebrate being 30 for the ENTIRE next year!! :) Might as well, right?! :)

My coworkers surprised me and brought in food and cake!!

And they also gave me this adorable apron!! Isn't this perfect?! They know me soo well! lol

I also got some BEAUTIFUL flowers!!! My dear friend Jagada sent these flowers to me!
Thanks Jagada!! That was so sweet of you! Love and Miss you too!

And I also got some beautiful unexpected flowers from....Who? The card wasn't signed! Maybe it was a secret admirer??? Okay okay....So, I figured out who they were from!

Thank You to everyone for all the phone calls, texts, emails, cards, and Facebook messages! Yall helped make this a VERY special and memorable birthday! One that will never be forgotten!!!

Musically Tuned Christmas

I LOVE Christmas time! One of my favorite times of the year! One of the best things to do is go around and look at Christmas lights! There is a place on the Kansas side of the state line that always tunes their Christmas lights to the Christmas radio station! Vince and Associates do an outstanding job! I took a video on my phone but its not near as good as the one on youtube...so here you go! Just a little view! :)

Christmas Cookies...

Christmas time has got to be one of my very favorite holidays. The lights, Christmas trees, bling, festivities, cinnamon and spice, baking, shopping, wrapping of gifts, candles burning, cooking, nutcrackers, gingerbread men, snow, snowmen, Christmas songs/caroling, bows, hot drinks, family time, hanging with friends, family games...the list could go on and on. One thing I love is giving at Christmas time! But sometimes money gets in the way and we can't always do everything we want to do.

But we must not forget what the REAL meaning of Christmas is all about!!!

I decided to bake away this weekend and make some treats for some friends at church and wanted to share with you!

Brownie Pops! :)

Chocolate Dipped Sugar Cookies

Chocolate covered Peanut Butter Ritz

And last but not least...Chocolate dipped Winter stuffed Oreos!
